Who operates this site
This website is operated by MichaelGarsow LLC, based in Appleton, Wisconsin. References to “I,” “me,” or “my” mean Michael R Garsow. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to michael@michaelgarsow.com.
Information collected
Contact form. The Contact form collects your name, email address, message and, when you provide them, your company, title and LinkedIn address. The referral links on that page use your own device and do not collect a colleague’s details.
Blueprint to Success. The complimentary-book form collects your first and last name, email address, role, required email-list agreement and its time. It also records reading progress, including your last and furthest page, and associates that progress with a private reading link. The link is stored in coded form rather than as the readable link itself.
Newsletter. The newsletter sign-up collects your email address, your agreement and its time, and where you signed up. A confirmation email is sent first, and the newsletter starts only after you confirm. Delivery, open, unsubscribe and bounce events may be recorded for each edition.
2-minute AI assessment. The assessment collects your answers and, when you request the report, your business name and contact details, including the email address used to deliver the report. The score and report are calculated from your answers by fixed rules, not by an AI model.
Scheduling and bookings. Scheduling collects your name, email address, company, title, meeting topic or notes, and the time selected. It creates a calendar event and Microsoft Teams invitation and records the booking for follow-up.
Clients. For clients, the private intake, kickoff, agreement and report pages collect the business information you provide. Accepting an agreement records your name, title, the date and time, your IP address and browser, and a fingerprint of the agreement text.
Site activity and attribution. The site records limited first-party events such as page views and downloads. Private book-reader tokens are removed before a reader page is recorded. Tracked-link visits may include the referring address, browser description, and a one-way coded value derived from network and browser information. First-party attribution cookies remember a tracked source for up to 90 days.
Google Analytics. Public pages use Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device, browser and referring source). Advertising features and Google Signals are off, and it never runs on private links, previews or the private workspace. Google’s handling is described in Google’s Privacy Policy; you can opt out with Google’s opt-out add-on.
Private-workspace data. Sign-in credentials, session information, security records, and administrative activity are processed for the private workspace.
How information is used
- To review and respond to inquiries and potential business opportunities.
- To deliver requested assessment reports, complimentary-book access and newsletter editions.
- To create requested bookings and Microsoft Teams invitations.
- To prepare, deliver and record client work, agreements and reports.
- To record email-list consent and reading progress.
- To operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the site and private workspace.
- To send internal alerts about submissions or system conditions.
- To maintain business records and meet legal obligations.
AI tools may be used inside the private workspace to help prepare replies, meeting briefs, proposals and client reports from information you have provided. I review that work before anything is sent to you. Personal information is not sold. This site does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by service providers that support this site, only as needed to perform their services:
- Lovable and its cloud infrastructure, for hosting, database, file storage, authentication and managed email (book, report, confirmation, newsletter and account messages).
- Microsoft (Outlook and Teams), for email correspondence, calendar bookings and meeting invitations.
- AI model providers, including Anthropic and those available through Lovable’s AI service, for the private-workspace drafting described above.
- Resend, for newsletter delivery.
- Telegram, for short internal alerts to me about new submissions.
- Stripe, for invoices and payments, when you are a client.
- Google Search Console, which reports aggregate search performance and receives no visitor-level information from this site.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transfer involving this site or its records.
Retention and security
Information is retained for as long as reasonably useful for the purpose collected, business recordkeeping, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance. Records that are no longer needed may be deleted or de-identified.
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information, and to appeal a request decision. Because personal information is not sold or used for targeted advertising, there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out process.
Submit a request through the Contact page. Enough information may be requested to reasonably verify the request. Authorized agents may be asked to show authority to act. You will not be discriminated against for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Joining Michael R Garsow’s email list is required to receive the complimentary book. The list is used for new chapters, additional books and practical tools, and may include an occasional marketing email. Your email address is never sold or given to anyone else. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to an email or submitting the request through the Contact page, and the request will be recorded so further marketing messages stop.
Every newsletter edition includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Replying “no thanks” to any one-to-one email from me also stops further outreach to that address.
To ask for deletion, email michael@michaelgarsow.com or use the Contact page. Information I must keep for legal, tax or contract records, or to honor an unsubscribe, may be retained for that purpose only.
Children, external links, and location
This site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. Personal information from a child known to be under 13 will be deleted when identified.
Links to LinkedIn and other external services are governed by those services’ own privacy practices. Information is processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site, its services, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
